The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Ben Stiller in Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Never knew there was a good director in Ben Stiller untill I watched 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' yesterday. One of my friends suggested the film to me and I have been ever since longing to watch the film. Walter Mitty is a negative asset manager at Life magazine, who has to travel the globe to find a missing negative from a world renowned photographer. In the course of the journey he meets new people and confronts life and fulfills his childhood dream of being an explorer.

I will leave the rest for you to experience. A beautiful film nevertheless. Thank you Ben Stiller. The film made me want to go to Greenland, beautiful beautiful place !

Highway - For the traveller/film enthusiast in you

Highway
I had considered skipping Highway as it got released in one of the trashiest cinema's in my place. Lucky for me the film after a few weeks was released yesterday in one of the better cinemas in Trivandrum.

The film is brilliant in parts, beautifully crafted, shot, tuned and acted. The winner without doubt is Alia Bhatt who enacts a magnificent performance that is never overdone with great ease. Randeep Hooda does justice to 'Mahabir' as a rugged abductor but is easily over-shadowed by Alia's 'Veera'. Anil Mehta's cinematography brings the film to life, A treat to the eyes. AR Rahman's music and background score needless to say is perfectly in blend with the film, visuals and context. The only thing i felt as a con is that the film drags away from context at times.

If you are a rover/explorer, It is highly likely that you will love this film. There are many stunning visuals that takes your breath away. Highway definitely is not everyone's cup of tea. A must watch in my book though.
